Suttling Booth, 1808 (c) Coloured softground etching with aquatint by John Augustus Atkinson and John Hill after John Augustus Atkinson. Published by William Miller and James Walker, London, 1 January 1808. Sutlers were civilians who sold provisions and other small items to the soldiers of the Army. Needing to be as mobile as their customers, they often set up booths from which to ply their trade.
